"Annavaram is one of the most famous Holy Shrines in India second place after after Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. Satyanarayanaswamy  temple is built in the Dravidian style and the glory and richness of Lord SATYADEVA was widely described in Revakhanda of Skandhapuranam.
The presiding deity Lord Satyadeva with his consort Sri Anantha Lakshmi on one Side and with Lord Siva on the other side took his abode on Ratnagiri, which is named after Ratnakara, son of Meru the king of holy mountains. Like in all Divyakshetrams as surrounded and followed by holy rivers, Sri Satyanarayana Swamy at Annavaram is also followed by sacred Pampa River touching the feet of the hill.
Lord Satyadeva the god of truth is showering his eternal blessings on mankind in his beautiful manifested form of the DIVINE TRINITY namely Hari Hara Hiranya Garbha Thrimurtyatmaka. Simhachalam Temple in Vizag

The Historic Temple at the Simhachalam, built in the 11th Century, where the Lord Varaha Narasimha Swami's temple is located, resembles the rich cultural heritage Visakhapatnam holds. Located on the Hill top, at a height of 244 mts, popularly called the Hill of the Lion Lord, is the temple of Lord Vishnu in the avatara of Sri Narasimha Swami varu. This great temple built in the 11th century by the King Sri Krishnadevarayam, is one of its kind in the country. Inscriptions on the temple date back to 1098 AD.- Source

The deity at Simhachalam, the lion-man incarnation of Lord Mahavishnu is usually covered with sandalwood paste. The original shape of the deity in the tribhanga posture has two hands with the head of a lion on a human torso. An inscription dated as far back as 1098 AD of the Chola king Kuloththunga provides some clue as to its antiquity. Another inscription shows a Queen of the Eastern Ganga of Kalinga(ancient Orissa) (1137-56 AD) covering the image with gold while a third inscription says the eastern Ganga King of Orissa Narasimha Deva built the main/central shrine in 1267 A.D. With more than 252 inscriptions in Oriya and Telugu describing the antecedents of the temple, it is a historically important monument.

Sri Krishna Deva Raya after defeating the Gajapati ruler of Orissa Gajapati Prataparudra Dev visited the shrine twice in 1516 AD and 1519 AD and offered numerous villages for maintenance of bhogam (worship) along with valuable jewellery of which an emerald necklace is still in the temple. For the last three centuries the Royal family of Vizianagaram, ” The Pusapati Gajapathi’s” have been the temple’s trustees

"Sri Nookambica Ammavaru is a mighty deity in north Andhra pradesh. This temple has 550 years of history. In 1450's anakapalli was ruled by a kalinga king named kakarlapudi appalaraju. He built a fort in anakapalli and built a temple for kakatamba on south side of his fort. Later on anakapalli was ruled by king jagannadha raju payakarao, when britishers ruled India. He was hanged to death when he lost the battle with britishers in the war at payakaraopet. Britisher's appointed vijayanagaram raju as king in this place. They changed the name of the deity to nookambica. Next to this king gode gajanadha raju was appointed as king by vijayanaram raju. This king didn't pay tax to the britishers for a long time so the fort was auctioned by britishers. And in this auction pydicherla anadaraju bought the fort. And till today they are acting as the trusties for the temple. In 1953 the temple was under taken by the government. Every year a jatara takes place for one month from the day before ugadi. This temple is having 8 cottages, a queue complex and kalyanamandapam."- Excerpt from http://nookalamma.blogspot.com

"It is believed that the creator of the universe was Sri Shakti Ammavaru and that the creation took place in the time period from Palguna Bahula Amavasya (the new moon day) to April (new moon day).
