Telugu Samskruthika Niketanam, which is planned to be opened in January 2014, is a world Telugu heritage center and being developed atop Kailasagiri, Vizag.

Visiting the centre on Thursday along with VUDA Vice-Chairman N. Yuvaraj, Joint Collector Praveen Kumar and regional Chairman of WTF Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, the Minister said the inauguration would take place only after it was complete in all respects.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the project would make Telugus all over the world proud and would be a major tourist attraction with historic significance.
VUDA has already completed its share of works in regard with civil construction and other infrastructure. WTF is pursuing the work on episodes describing the evolution of the Telugu culture and literature.
The work is being executed by noted art director Thota Tarani.
The Telugu Heritage Centre, modelled on Kerala Museum, was the first of its kind coming up with the initiative of the government through VUDA, the Minister described.
Dr. Yuvaraj told the Minister that an alternate road in addition to the existing ghat road has been developed to provide connectivity to the centre keeping the rush of visitors in view.
Work on air-conditioning, lighting and sound system have to be completed in accordance with the installation of episodes. Work relating to parking is nearing completion. Landscaping, greenery and amphitheatre would be taken up soon, the Vice-Chairman said.
Dr. Lakshmi Prasad said voice over by the noted actor and dubbing artiste Sai Kumar describing each episode would be made ready soon after the installation of the episodes.
